Beyond Discourse: Clinical & Empirical Approaches to Human Trafficking
April 5 @ 8:00 am - April 6 @ 5:00 pm
Beyond Discourse is an interdisciplinary conference examining critical research methods on human trafficking and related social problems. This conference will offer scholars the opportunity to discuss the challenges and rewards of conducting empirical work on human trafficking, including the ways we work with affected communities, collaborate with intervention organizations, and represent our conclusions to the public.
The conference will be held April 4-5 at the Hall Center for the Humanities at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. It will feature panels and presentations by KU faculty and graduate students as well as human trafficking scholars from around the country.
